The Basement Unplugged was founded in Atlanta, GA in March 2019 by Lola Ladae´ created for a safe haven and support system for a variety of black artists in the community. Today, The Basement Unplugged operates as a BIPOC creator and entrepreneur organization that organizes networking and fundrasing events, concerts and conferences, develops artists and entrepreneurs and partners with local black community organizations to provide volunteers and educational resources on an as-needed basis.

The Basement Unplugged believes in community growth, outreach, development and support. The Basement’s goal is to provide an exclusive space for BIPOC creators, artists and entrepreneurs to network, build and educate themselves on the current industry and their community. The Basement Unplugged provides access to hundreds of artists, musicians, media influencers, industry leaders, community organizations and developmental programs. We strongly believe in selfless support and recycling the dollar back into black communities. We strive to see fresh and new artists develop into amazing and touring artists. We strive to see startups become million dollar businesses. We strive to see more black women in the music industry. We strive to see the community...OUR artist community better.
